It is amazing what you can make of Hard drive parts.. this is an interesting art thing.. but forst what is a hard disk drive ….

Wikipedia says this..

A hard disk drive is a non-volatile storage device for digital data. It features one or more rotating rigid platters on a motor-driven spindle within a metal case. Data is encoded magnetically by read/write heads that float on a cushion of air above the platters.

Hard disk manufacturers quote disk capacity in SI-standard powers of 1000, wherein a terabyte is 1000 gigabytes and a gigabyte is 1000 megabytes. With file systems that measure capacity in powers of 1024, available space appears somewhat lessthan advertised capacity.

The first HDD was invented by IBM in 1956. They have fallen in cost and physical size over the years while dramatically increasing capacity. Hard disk drives have been dominant device for secondary storage of data in general purpose computers since the early 1960s. They have maintained this position because advances in their areal recording density have kept pace with the requirements for secondary storage. Form factors have also evolved over time from large standalone boxes to today’sdesktop systems mainly with standardized 3.5″ form factor drives, and mobile systems mainly using 2.5″ drives. Today’s HDDs operate on high-speed serial interfaces, i.e., Serial ATA (SATA) or Serial attached SCSI (SAS).

The presentation of an HDD to its host is determined by its controller. This may differ substantially from the HDDs native interface particularly in mainframes or servers.

Interesting.. and if your hard drive get broken somehow.. you can use for makeing things like this…

Art has no boundaries and people who have given birth to these extraordinary creations believe in it, you guys must have seen art on paper, cloth or even stone but this 3-D arrangement of creativity is totally awesome.

Well I totally believe that utilizing broken branches in this manner is far better than burning them causing pressure on U.S. Prez which may be the reason for his hair loss… Oh! He didn’t had any from the beginning ;D

Have you ever wondered that this is not the only case of creativity; there are people who dedicate their lives to create useless items from useless scrap.

The People coming to these places would never see these as an artistic adventure; some might even make their kids sit on their lifeless horses which would obviously make them fall and break, I wonder what’d happen if they glue it together?

Anyways, the wild thing about the pictures seems to be the wood, how can these wood materials be of different color, do these artists make a core rocket science analysis over the wood material, well if they do then they undoubtedly deserve a Nobel Prize for thinking out of the box.

Time and again people have created sign boards all over that instruct us that life is more of enjoying every moment and not waste time on arts. I am not against it, an 60-year oldie would surely pursue it as a full-time career because it’s the only thing he could get mastery in

The organization sponsors and funds scientific research and exploration. The Society publishes an official journal, National Geographic Magazine, and other magazines, books, school products, maps, other publications, web and film products in numerous languages and countries around the world. The National Geographic Society began as a club for an elite group of academics and wealthy patrons interested in travel. On January 13, 1888, 33 explorers and scientists gathered at the Cosmos Club, a private club then located on Lafayette Square in Washington, D.C., to organize “a society for the increase and diffusion ofgeographical knowledge.” After preparing a constitution and a plan of organization, the National Geographic Society was incorporated two weeks later on January 27.Gardiner Greene Hubbard became its first president and his son-in-law, Alexander Graham Bell, eventually succeeded him in 1897 following his death. In 1899 Bell’s son-in-law Gilbert Hovey Grosvenor was named the first full-time editor of National Geographic Magazine and served the organization for fifty-five years (1954), and members of the Grosvenor family have played important roles in the organization since.

Bell and his son-in-law, Grosvenor, devised the successful marketing notion of Society membership and the first major use of photographs to tell stories in magazines. The current Chairman of the Board of Trustees of National Geographic is Gilbert Melville Grosvenor, who received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2005 for the Society’s leadership for Geography education.
